The annual Town and County Meeting, a meeting among the county and representatives from its 32 municipalities, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7 p.m. in the Weld County Administration Building, 1150 O St., Greeley.

Held each October, the meeting not only provides an opportunity for municipal elected officials to come together with the Weld County Board of Commissioners to discuss Weld County issues and concerns but also helps fulfill a mandate of the Weld County Home Rule Charter.

According to the Charter, commissioners must meet with municipal leaders no less than three times a year. These meetings help ensure regular and open communication among the government agencies and occur throughout the year at various coalition meetings including the North I-25 meeting, the Highway 85 meeting, as well as other county/municipal meetings that may be scheduled in addition to the annual Town and County Meeting.

This meeting is open to the public, and anyone is welcome to come and listen to the updates and news on various projects throughout Weld County.
