WELD COUNTY TO BRING back popular Landfill Voucher program

Written by Team James

Weld County is offering free landfill vouchers for spring clean-up! One load per household, valid April 1–June 2. Register online today.

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment (WCDPHE) is once again helping residents dispose of unwanted items with ease by offering free passes to the North Weld or Front Range Landfills.

The department has a limited number of vouchers for Weld County residents to discard items such as mattresses, couches and tables without incurring disposal costs. Each voucher covers one truckload (level with bed rails) or one trailer weighing up to one ton. Residents will be responsible for any charges exceeding the voucher limits, which must be paid at the time of disposal. Vouchers are limited to one per Weld County address and are valid for either the North Weld Landfill in Ault or the Front Range Landfill, located in Erie.

For details about acceptable items, drop-off hours and other landfill questions, please contact the sites directly:

• North Weld – www.wmsolutions.com or call 970-686-2800.

• Front Range – www.frontrangelandfill.com or call 303-637-9431.

The voucher program will run from April 1 through June 2. To participate, residents must register on the Weld County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) webpage at www.weld.gov/go/hhw.
