Town and County Meeting to be held Oct. 30
Weld County, CO – The annual Town and County Meeting will be held Oct. 30 at 7 p.m. in the Weld County Administration Building, located at 1150 O St. in Greeley.
Held every October, the Town and County Meeting provides an opportunity for municipal officials and Weld County commissioners to engage in discussion, centered on sharing important updates on projects, as well as goals for the future or challenges and concerns moving forward.
Outlined in the Weld County Home Rule Charter, commissioners must meet no less than three times each year with Weld County municipalities. Beyond the Town and County Meeting, other meetings occur through various transportation projects and coalitions. Attendance at other municipal and county meetings that may be scheduled throughout the year also helps fulfill this requirement.
As Weld County is home to 32 municipalities, the information presented in the Town and County Meeting will pertain to a variety of different communities. The public is welcome to attend and listen.
Leading with responsive, innovative, and cost-effective services.

My Take
Our Home Rule Charter requires us to meet regularly with our 32 municipalities. That is a good thing because it keeps us accountable and connected.
I look forward to the Town and County dinner every year. It is a great chance to catch up with community leaders from across Weld County and hear what is working and what needs attention.
