Caucus & Assembly: Show up. Be counted.
Colorado still uses precinct caucuses and follow-on assemblies to decide who lands on the June primary ballot. I am seeking access to the ballot through this grassroots route. Your in-person help matters.
How the process works
1) Precinct Caucus – Completed
Neighbors from your voting precinct who are registered Republicans meet to elect delegates to county and higher assemblies. Some precincts take a straw poll, but the real power is becoming a delegate. (What is a caucus? See the Colorado SOS explainer.)
2) County and District Assemblies
The County Assembly is where delegates elected at Precinct Caucus to the County Assembly gather to nominate (designate) Republican candidates for certain county offices and other eligible contests. Candidates who meet the required 30% vote threshold qualify for the ballot.
3) State Assembly
Delegates from across Colorado finalize designations for statewide offices, then we head to the June primary.
