Pending legislation mandating collective bargaining in counties could cost Weld County – subsequently, Weld County taxpayers – up to $30 million annually and all 64 Colorado counties – subsequently, all Colorado taxpayers – upward of $600 million annually.

Today, I was pleased to organize a group of County Commissioners from across Colorado for a press conference at the State Capitol where we expressed our opposition to this unwanted and unneeded legislation that would severely hinder counties’ ability to provide services.
