A bill is being considered for introduction by Senate President Steve Fenberg and House Majority Leader Daneya Esgar could cost Weld County taxpayers up to $30 million annually and Colorado Taxpayers up to $600 million annually. This bill is bad for Weld County and bad for Colorado. I wrote an op-ed about it here.
